About Manda's Jewelry House

About the Jewelry Designer:

Hi, I'm Manda. I am 7 years old. I started making jewelry in the summer of 2009.  My first attempt at selling it was in front of my house while I was working at my lemonade stand.  I sold more jewelry than lemonade that day!  Santa and Mom Mom helped me get my business off the ground.  Santa brought me beads and jewelry making tools.  Mom Mom helps me set prices and helps me with my website.

About Payment Options:

Since I'm so young, that's why I don't take credit cards right now.  Maybe when I get older I will.  So right now, I only accept PayPal, cash, money orders, and personal checks.

About the Jewelry:

All of the ear wires and clasps on my jewelry are sterling silver.  Mom Mom says only use the best.  But I want to make sure my jewelry is affordable to adults and kids of all ages, too. (Well, kids at least 4 years old.  My jewelry is not intended for small children who put things in their mouths because it has small parts.)  I use wool, hemp, stretchy cord, or nylon for my bead threading.  When I'm working with tiny beads it takes me longer to make the jewelry so that's why it costs more. Also, some beads are more expensive than others.  And I have to charge for postage unless you live in my neighborhood and I can deliver your order to you.

About my Proceeds:

My dream is to grow my business so I can save money to buy myself more expensive toys. : )  I also love animals.  This is why I donate 5% of my proceeds to the Angel Fund at Belle Mead Animal Hospital in Hillsborough, NJ. (I donated $33.25 in 2010.) The Angel Fund helps animals who need to have an operation or medications or other veterinary procedures whose owners don't have the money to pay for it.

The above video is Manda's reaction when she found out she had her first international sale to a customer in England!

My 2012 Donations to The Angel Fund:  $2.00
